Robert Legault

I just learned from his sister that he passed away.

Robert was wonderful to me last year. After we had a long chat on the phone, he invited me to call any time. I meant to.

I am so sorry that I didn't... I thought I would have time.

News about Robert's death is on Making Light.

Robert was helpful, friendly, kind and supportive. Like a friend you've had forever. That was our only call.

AZ Shea | More is also open for business. This will be the publicist aspect of AZ Shea, as I have engaged independent SF authors for a book tour. Four dwell in Michigan, and the fifth left Michigan a few years ago.

I have some little skill in matching needs and people.

This week we are negotiating the first engagement with a SF club.

I hereby announce that I am hanging out my shingle as a copy editor and proofreader.

I work for two magazines, Shimmer and Locus.

• Locus is subtitled "The Magazine Of The Science Fiction & Fantasy Field." I began copy editing for Locus during September 2007. Published monthly.

Locus is the trade journal for science fiction and fantasy.

• Shimmer seeks "speculative fiction for a miscreant world." I am one of two copy editors for Shimmer, and I began copy editing and proofreading there in September 2007. Published quarterly.

Recent Shimmer stories were listed (under "Summation 2006: Fantasy") in _The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 2007_.
