I am fine, but I didn't make it to con. The guys went without me.
Happily, the cat is fine too, now. He had an adventure for perhaps 27 hours. Better than March, when he was missing 2.5 days!
=-= LG went AWOL yesterday; he got scared while outside and hid. =-=
He stayed out all night. I'd been outside talking to him many times, stopping at midnight. We called him from the door too, both today and Monday: no dice.
This afternoon, I was singing his little song to him; LG squeaked at me, then came out of the undergrowth -- which we call the back 40. Then LG went back in.
Some minutes later, he showed himself again. Digger, who seemingly found some mint to roll in, growled at LG. I told D off. After getting Dig inside, I took a meal break...
After 7ish, LG popped out of the flora. Perhaps because Blackie had just eaten??
LG nearly came in, but Blackie growled at him too. I told him off... Coaxed LG with his song. He reappeared from hiding. LG pondered, and then catloafed.
I went deeper into the yard, so he could get closer to the door. Our marvelous roomie stood at the door wall, keeping HRM and Digger pent in, but making sure LG could enter if he liked.
He did like. Thank the Great Maker. I motioned at Stripey, who just had turned up, to not come closer; kindly, she obeyed. Clearly hand signals have meaning to her, smart girl!
LG is safe inside now. He's had his supper, he keeps browsing on their "dots" [BB kibble] and has finally settled down. Firework noises just began; I bet he's hiding from that.
I'm positive LG's wondering where His Guy has gone... well, off to CVG. Understandably, LG has come to me multiple times for petting, since his daily allotment of near-perpetual petting was interrupted.
Aside from Digger -- who did keep growling at LG, but who seems to have calmed down too -- everything is fairly chill.
